This is the most challenging subject of the Accounting degree, in my viewpoint (others may argue that Auditing is harder, which I disagree). Paying attention to the slides and doing homework are critical. Despite being a textbook buyer and reader, I'd say you don't have to read the book for this subject, especially if you don't have time (but you still need the if homework questions are taken from it) .
