Reviews

Probably my favourite subject. Great content which if you get very deep into it is genuinely interesting. Requires 2 essays which need to be of the highest standard you have ever produced in your life. Spin off is there is no group assignments

Anonymous, Autumn session, 2016

Not recommended for non-English background students.

This subject is every English based, would not recommend doing 4 subjects if doing this subject

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2015

If your good at Essays and like reading, then you'll enjoy this subject!

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014

There was lots and lots of reading, but the topics are pretty interesting. The essays were a lot of work especially with the detail you have to go with your referencing. Overall a pretty interesting subject.

Many concepts are genuinely interesting and it's great to see how everything works, but the layout of the course is bizarre at best, with the huge weighting on essays and the exam which is only forty multiple choice. Work on your essays and refine them continually. Don't leave it to the week before even, as they are marked quite pedantically, especially with regards to the referencing. Make sure your points are logical and supported by the readings at hand.

I really didn't see the point of this subject, Lectures consist of watching youtube videos and tutes of sitting in groups and talking/presenting homework questions.

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2013

Although the topic was quite ambiguous in understanding its central topic/content, it was however interesting to learn about management of people within businesses and the general worforce.

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2014

Fine if you are good at/enjoy short essays and referencing as this is majority of the subject (70% for 2 essays). Final exam is 40 multiple choice in 2 or so hours-such a joke! lectures were average...however some of the short films about past experiments were quite interesting. compulsory tutes...would not recommend 9am ones!!
