Overall a pretty good unit with interesting content. Followed on from intermediate micro concepts nicely, and applied these concepts to real life. The lecturer seemed to actually care about helping his students pass and was trying to make concepts engaging (even when they could be a little bland). Only criticism would be the lecture notes: seemingly someone had just copied and pasted lecture slides from multiple other people about a topic, resulting in very repetitive and lengthy notes, and often leaving students unsure of what is actually relevant to the unit.

Actually one of my favourite subjects. Kadir is a great lecturer and all his classes are well run. Content was well drawn on intermediate micro and also small parts of macro and other earlier subjects which meant it wasn't too challenging. Kadir makes it easy to pass this class and genuinely wants his students to excel. I came out with a great mark when i studied hard, would highly recommend to anyone looking for third year subjects that are relatively easy to do well in.

ECOS3011 is just awesome. Kadir is an amasing lecturer (although he looks quite sad at times and that does have an affect on my mood). He covers material at a wonderful pace and is very fair in terms of assessments. He provides you with everything you need to do well. He wants everyone to do well and more importantly he wants people to be interested and engaged. He wants to give students more than just advice on how to succeed in the assessments. Wonderful guy and content.

Subject content is easy, content is a nice blend of microeconomic theory and political economic real-world application. The slides when I did the course in semester 2 2017 were a joke, all over the place. 3 sets of slides per week that repeated itself on multiple occasions. This made it difficult and lengthy to study for the subject.

Although this is a micro-based economics unit, the maths itself is easy in comparison to ECOS2001. Instead, theory and maths are used to understand and explain policies, which is pretty snazzy. Kadir taught this unit in my sem and made the content easy to understand. A great lecturer and unit all around.

I had lecturer Kadir for this subject who made it really comprehendible and enjoyable. I found learning about this stuff fascinating as it breaks down some the key government policies globally and aids in understanding some major policy decisions from an economic standpoint. All topics are then looked at empirically to determine whether theory is accurate and whether policy has achieved what it set out to do. Good subject for honing research skills, learning theory and tying together a lot of intermediate micro topics in a real life scenario.
