Reviews
I loved this course. Matthew Hornsey is hilarious, clear and thoughtful in his presentation of social psych issues, including some that are delicate or controversial. I really enjoyed going to lectures. I found the group assignment really challenging because I took it way too seriously and created way too much work for myself, so make sure you're setting achievable goals when designing your experiment. The only criticism I have is that the "organisational" aspect is confined to one lecture, which hardly seems worth advertising as org. Although I love social, I would have also liked to explore more org psych too.

One of the best courses I have ever taken! The lecturer is super engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed the content

Worst organisational psych subject I've taken at the uni. There is not much content and it doesn't contain difficult concepts so you would assume the lecturer would be able to get through it on time. The assignment is vague and they're looking purely for structure and nothing of worth! The mid semester and final exams were less about application and more about remembering exact facts (what you would want from a subject that's supposed to be prepping you on org psych am I right)

Excellent lecture structure and best lecturer on earth! Really enjoyed this course!

Such interesting content and is so light and fun in comparison to the other compulsory subjects you have to take in second year. The lecturer is absolutely amazing and he tells stories that are funny and link to the content so they actually help you remember the info. The tutored I had was actually pretty cool, attendance is required if you want to gain 10% worth of marks in relatively easy (if you stay on top of the lecture of the week) one question quizzes. The only way you could not like this subject is if you get annoying group members for the group assignment but thankfully mine were easy to work with and were motivated to do well

Great subject. Content was highly interesting and the lecturer (Courtney Von Hippell) made lectures very enjoyable to attend. Tutorials were helpful especially when it came to the assignment.

Interesting and informative tutes, engaging lectures, group assignment data collection can be annoying if your group isn't committed but the actual essay is easy. Overall great psych subject!
