Reviews

This course was not too challenging, I just found the lecturer difficult to follow. However, the text book is very helpful and if you read the chapters assigned you will pass the course without trouble.

Very easy and interesting course! I find it easier than ECON1010.

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2017

important course to understand, professor is needlessly pedantic about word usage and definitions however.

Disappointing that the textbook is updated every semester. Personally, it was easier than econ1010 but still required a tonne of weekly study. Was good to gain stronger understanding of the economy with help from this couse.

Good intro to key macro concepts. The course under Bruce Littleboy has a high fail rate but you should be fine if you stay on top of things every week and take the pre-announced questions/ hints seriously!

Amazing subject, I thoroughly enjoyed it very much! PASS is very helpful and overall the course is very interesting. Textbook is very useful in understanding concepts as well. Made me want to pursue further economics!

Takes a topic and breaks it down into tiny even simple pieces with thorough explanation. A blessing for students without any econ background knowledge. Good selection of current or recent news items. I could see the reasoning behind the staggered lecture, pass, and tute arrangement and some students would benefit a lot from this but in the end I mixed topics up.

I found this course to be very interesting. The concepts taught were so applicable to events occurring everyday in financial markets. The course has really provides a great base-level understanding of economics and money markets. KK Tang provided great examples and lectures.

Although this subject had a substantial amount of content to cover I found going to PASS, past exams and tutorial worksheets very useful. The lecturer that I had also closely followed the textbook which I found helpful when making my own notes for exams.

Very interesting course. Logical professor and quite amazing for an introductory level course, I must say
