A strong component of the biomedical science degree. Lots of really interesting content, however can sometimes get overwhelming. Still a very enjoyable course, and very helpful for later study.

A very content-heavy course but the knowledge is well worth it! The staff are helpful and if you stay on top of the content, it’s a very achievable course .

The amount of content in this course is very heavy however its possible to do well as long as you keep up with the content. Its not a course you can cram for during swotvac so I highly recommened taking the time every weekend to ensure you understand and revise content constantly as it is easy to forget material with such a content heavy course.

The lecture content is very interesting after the first module. The first two pracs are breezy, easy to get the 5% each is worth. However, the last two pracs are extremely frustrating. The prac itself isnt bas, however, the prac write ups are giant curve ball. The tutors are extremely harsh when marking the two reports, with each being worth 15%, thats where you tend to lose all the marks in this subject. Talk a lot to your tutor and know what exactly they need in their report.

Pretty important course, a lot of content to cover, but do-able if you keep reasonably on top. Spend a lot of time doing your prac reports, if you stuff them up then you are pretty screwed. Really read the criteria sheet.
