Not bad subject. Lecturer is hard marker!
Anonymous, Term 1, 2019
The aim of the course is to provide students with an understanding of the mechanisms that provide for the change of ownership of listed companies in the Australian context. Whilst narrow in scope, the role of the Takeovers Panel, Schemes of Arrangements and share buy-backs are covered. Unlike other subjects in the LLM and JD, 90% of assessment is based on a single essay. Whilst the lecturer brings a technical and compliance mindset to the course, this is partially offset through the addition of industry practitioners as guest speakers.
