Can be difficult if you are new to programming however excellent Lecturer-in-charge and tutors make the course very fun. One of the best courses I've taken at UNSW and support is always offered to students falling behind.

If you have not programmed before, this course can be difficult. The last two assignments can be difficult. Lectures can be sometimes fast paced but very fun nevertheless. Just keep up with each week's content.

Extremely fun course. Just make sure you don't fall behind.

Students coming from a computing background will find this course very easy. However, many INFS students without previous experience will find this subject quite difficult. Assignment 1 is fairly easy/straightforward, whilst Assignment 2 was a lot harder. I found the final quite difficult too but the marking was not too harsh.

Honestly, this course is very difficult for students that have never done programming before. BlueJ is a waste of time, considering Java is rarely used in industry, and the tutors and lecture really make it difficult to learn. The hardest assignments I've ever done since the course was restructured

A very interesting and easy introduction to Java programming using BlueJ
