Very good course! If you're really looking to get stuck into programming go for COMP1511 though, as it is faster. If you're just programming out of interest, you will really enjoy it! Focuses on basic C programming and problem solving.

Great introduction to computing. This is not an easy course, but provides a great depth and get you thinking hard. You will learn how the fundamentals of computing come together, you'll get a rigorous introduction to C programming and you'll be on your way to data structures and algorithms. Advice: work hard, really sink your teeth into the subject matter and try to program as much as possible. Treat this course as your playground - don't sweat the marks because you'll learn better by making mistakes early on and putting your wisdom to use in later computing courses.

Interesting course, a bit difficult but manageable. You learn to solve problems in this course.
