Loved this course, it specifically says for Chinese Background speakers, so for all those people who thought it was hard well of course because you're not background. The lecture Dr Wang is the funniest and gives great lectures. I only did this as a General Education Course but I would do Part B if I had any free electives left. My Chinese has improved very well and this was actually a course that has taught me something for the outside world when I leave university.

I went to the first lesson, the lecturer explained the course outline however once he started the actual Chinese lesson, he began teaching mandarin in MANDARIN! I immediately switched to ARTS1450, so much better.

Would give zero stars if I could. Please do not take this course if you're actually a beginner. Everyone here is pretending to be a beginner but in reality they know HEAPS of chinese. This will be detrimental to your chances of getting good marks in this course
