Overall, I think this subject was a good breadth option to do in second year, as the content was not too heavy and getting a H1 is definitely doable. However, there are lots of little assessments regularly spaced through semester(~5% assignments every two/three weeks) which can be tedious and the accumulation of losing 1-2% on these little assignments can add up, which may be detrimental to your final score (but again, I reiterate that getting a H1 is still possible). The group assignment (10%) was not marked too harshly in my opinion, but of course group assignments may not be favourable to everyone. Lecture content was not hard to follow, tutorials were good at getting the major concepts across. However, the lecturer was not the fastest at responding to emails, which something that stressed me out especially while doing this subject fully online in 2020 (where there was no opportunity to ask questions face-to-face). In conclusion, you can get a good score doing this subject, and I would recommend it especially to those who have some prior statistics knowledge, but even to those who are relatively beginners in statistics.

A very good and well-taught subject. You get weekly quizzes that super easy to do but mostly just for practicing as it doesn't give you much point. There is a group assignment near the end. For single assignment, there are around 6 assignments (but they are easy, 50% of them are reading some text and answer questions online, 50% are writing a short 250 words essay that critical analysis something). Overall, the subject is very useful.

The regular testing was tedious. overall getting an H1 is not hard. The final exam is quite easy and having so many past papers for practice made it even easier. Most of the lectures were very interesting, while others were pretty boring. The tutorials were conducted well and really helped us apply what we have learned. The group assignment was quite fun and really helped when it came to the final major assignment. The subject also teaches useful concepts that are applicable to almost any field.

Too many assessments with subjective marking, but overall some good content that is useful.
