This was a great subject to do, plus I made some good friends in it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn an "odd" subject. The content is easy to follow, Larisa is an absolute gem, and Robert is the nicest! Can't wait to do Russian 2.

Easily my favourite subject this semester - if you're considering taking it, then you should!! Larissa is absolutely hilarious and so passionate about teaching Russian she would probably teach for free if she wasn't getting paid. Both Larissa and Natalia were really knowledgeable and explain things really well with the help of the textbook, which you'll follow closely throughout the semester. The class sizes are really small and you'll do a lot of partner/group activities, so it's a great way to make friends. In my class I saw that students who were learning Russian as their third+ language got an easy H1, but students who were learning it as their second language struggled a little bit more. I would still recommend doing this subject even if you've had no experience with languages as you're basically given the answers to the assignments in the textbook, and then the exam is almost entirely made up of the same types of questions found in the assignments. Subject is super chill - each assignment only took me a few hours to complete, freeing up a lot of time to focus on my other subjects.

Great subject! Very easy to get good marks in, because the weekly assignments (worth 10% each) are an absolute breeze. Robert and Larisa are both absolute legends, and if you get them as your tutor/lecturer you've lucked out because they're amazing. Absolute legends.
