Excellent course

In the moment, this subjects as incredibly challenging. There was a lot of content to remember, and a lot of new concepts taught. It took a hell of a lot of revision to feel comfortable with it. However, once I'd completed it, I really felt the benefits - everything else was suddenly a lot easier. All in all, this was my favourite subject from the Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

Paul provides a wealth of notes and infomation in this subject, as well as practice questions for each week and comprehensive notes for each week's lab class. Good introduction to statistical methods in the behavioural sciences. The extra seminars provided to graduate diploma students in this subject provide some extra depth. A/Prof Amy Perfors in particular gives some great seminars on Bayesian theory (which is unfortunately missing from the main part of the subject).

This course provide the most basic knowledge of how to carry out a psychological research. Most people say stats are boring but they are fundamental for almost every claim can be made in psychology. Just need to put some effort to like the subject :)
