Unfortunately neither of the lecturers were good, which made the content difficult to understand as a lot of personal study was required. Tutorials however were excellent. Labs were great relief compared to PHYC20009 and PHYC20010. Marking overall is quite lenient though which makes it easier.

Quite difficult subject matter. The electromagnetism lecturer can struggle to communicate ideas but is overall well prepared yet the skill of the tutor makes up for this. Optics is well taught and reasonably tutored. Expect difficult subject matter that requires several attempts to completely understand but that has interesting applications for how the universe works.
