This subject was what got me into drumming. Did it during the summer term, and practiced an hour a day as we had classes every second day during the week. It was rewarding to see consistent practice yielding results. Got a H1, but more importantly, discovered a favourite instrument :)

Very easy breadth. Did it online with no musical background and got H1. Put aside an hour or two a week to practice and you’ll be fine. Very enjoyable and a good break from content heavy subjects.

WARNING this subject is not an "easy" breadth. i did this subject with no musical background and found it quiet difficult. Only 2 contact hours a week which is great, but the downside is that you only get a very small amount of time to master the 8 different instruments and memorise the 3 different songs. If you do decide to take this subject, make sure you practise on each different instrument from week 1. I avoided the hard instruments throughout the semester and unfortunately was assigned the hard instrument during the final performance.
