Adored this subject, but if you are not a confident singer be wary. The assessment is mainly focused around writing and performing your own pop song, which makes sense - but I don't think the handbook makes it clear that you must be the one to sing - no exceptions. The sole lecturer/tutor Geoffrey is an absolute gem! He made the subject very engaging with class activities, and created a non-judgmental discussion environment. Being musically proficient on piano or guitar is quite important. Overall, this subject satisfied my creative side, which my other subject did not engage with, and taught me many song-writing techniques.
