Reviews

Content was pretty boring and very stimulating for the most part. Lectures were poorly taught however tutes by Jackson were taught excellently. However content is very easy to score mid-high H1 in with little effort (second assignment was tricky though). I'd recommend either DMOR or Comp econ if you're actually interested in learning the mathematics behind this class (or anything relating to this class) while this class is just fine if you want a H1 without learning anything. It's a quick n dirty WAM booster.

This subject provides both the conceptual frameworks and practical illustrations of business analysis techniques including decision trees, simulation and optimisation. These frameworks will be applied to various decisions faced by organisations, with applications in the areas of entrepreneurship, strategy, operations, marketing and finance.

Easy H1 subject if you go to Tutorials and understand the topics. But the group assignment is very hard so you need good group mates who can do the computer work.

Overall an easy-medium subject. A lot of computer use however the final exam was hardcopy.

I really enjoyed this subjected. The content is relatively simple and straight forward. Good if you know how to use excel, especially for the second assignment. The first assignment was pretty simple. The lecturer is ok, a really nice guy, but this is definitely one of those lectures you NEED to attend and can't just watch it online. Jackson my tutor was the BOMB, super helpful and really nice. You don't need the textbook. I really enjoyed it, didn't have to study much for the final exam, and managed to get a H1.
