Very interesting content and Neomy was a great lecturer. The lectures mainly involved presenting a theory and then discussing relevant studies about the theory. It's great for theoretical knowledge about how people learn second languages, but wasn't very useful for its practicality in learning how to teach. The assignments were decently straightforward and two involved interviewing a second language learner. The second assignment was pretty vague and they didn't provide us with a sample essay, so the expected structure was extremely unclear. The final assignment was introduced quite early on in the lectures which was helpful, but when it came down to it, what you actually had to do was also pretty unclear. Nonetheless, the content was really interesting and the teaching staff are very knowledgable in their field, which made it more enjoyable.

Imagine being sleepy in all lectures and tutorials, barely understand the content when the due date is getting closer, and doing every assignment in less than 48 hours, yet still managed to get H1 in the last two assignments. Well, thats me in this subject! The content are quite enjoyable, yet the tutorials are a bit boring. You'll need to interview someone for the first two assignments (second language learner) but it doesn't have to be face to face, which makes it easier! This subject is recommended if you like psycholinguistic. I'm majoring in psych, so this is my cup of tea.

An alright subject, my only real issue was that there was a fair bit of overlap with the previous linguistics subject I did (Intercultural Communication). Lectures were a bit dry and don't really feel like I learnt a whole lot in the tutorials but they were fun, Giuseppe was great. The assessments were also interesting to do and with clear enough instructions, just watch out with the last one, which requires a hefty appendix. You may need to compress it before submitting (I submitted late because of this but the coordinator was very understanding).
