This subject was very necessary for my learning and understanding of environmental governance processes in Australia. The coordinator, Alice, is fantastic. Brendan's lectures were the most boring experiences of my whole entire life. At times he literally had walls of text as slides and just told you to read it, then he'd change to the next slide... it is so bad that it's kind of funny. As for Australian environmental law as a topic - I am incredibly disappointed. I thought it would be something impressive - something to look up to and value. It really isn't, its depressing and woefully inadequate. The marking for the exam was incredibly harsh and inconsistent - comments would say 'your xyz was good' then the 'fair' box would be ticked instead of 'good' in the rubric. I don't recognise the name of the marker, probably a student - disappointing. I was planning on doing the subject 'International Environmental Law' - I have reconsidered that after this subject.

This is a one week intensive run in the mid-semester break. Whilst the days are long and it's a little tough to get through, the subject is well worth the effort, and extremely interesting.
