Reviews

The tutorials/seminars were by far the best bit of this subject. My tutor had so much passion for environmental rights that it made me so much more engaged in the subject. The cases studied in the lectures were interesting but some of the other content seemed quite meandering. You really need to study for the last exam though, you need to be able to cite cases/case names and apply them to law/situations. All in all really interesting subject though and if you were thinking about studying law for your postgrad I think this would be a good undergrad subject.

The course content is interesting, but often lacks a defined sense of direction. The readings are necessary, but cover areas occasionally that aren't even talked about in the lectures, which makes them harder to understand. The assignments additionally are messy, and grading criteria is highly unclear / intransparent despite a lot of attempts to seemingly correct this. However, Nina who runs the tutorials is perfect, and had the class just been composed of those tutorials this easily would have been five stars.
