Loved this subject! Personally, this should be mandatory for all first years, rather than arts discovery. I went into the subject thinking it was going to be pretty surface level knowledge, but all topics were contemporary, nuanced and very relevant to the world today. I also appreciated how diverse the class was- made up on equal balances of non-indigenous and Indigenous students. Topics of Indigenous astronomy, resistance and in-depth analysis of Indigenous education was fabulous! The main lecturers Rachel and Sheelagh are just amazing, and balance as such a great team. I do wish the tutorial had a bit more guided discussion- it was pretty freeformed. The assignments are extremely customisable, where you can focus on whatever main topics are of greatest interest.
