If you're interested in studying societal and cultural trends and development, then this subject will be really interesting to you. Taught within the context of Melbourne and Australia, it teaches ideas and theories behind the racialisation of our urban precincts, memorialisation, racial and cultural development and segregation and much more. Formally, it developed my skills in research including field work, as well as writing and articulating my opinion. Informally, it's just a good subject to build awareness, understanding and empathy of the community we live in. It has been my top three favourite subjects in my entire degree. I definitely recommend it.
