Reviews

This is an extremely interesting subject if you're willing to be self-motivated in terms of going into depth with the content you're most interested in. Genocide as a theme is a huge topic so the lectures can only really give a brief overview to pique your interest. The assessments are a great opportunity to explore the topic you find most engaging. The tutors are also very knowledgable and helpful in pointing you in the right direction.

Lectures were not engaging and contained few vague dot points at best, content was far too broad to grasp a thorough or satisfactory understanding on any particular event or concept and the tutorials were far too simplistic for what was expected of students in the final research essay (at least in the case of my particular tutor). Assessment instructions were minimal and did not address exactly what was expected. I can understand being marked down for not addressing or including elements of an assignment that are asked for but it's disappointing to find out you've been marked down for things that were not asked for or outlined in the assessment criteria or discussed at all in tutorials.

Terrible really. my tutor olivia was not very nice and angel seems lovely but unfortunately the lectures were not engaging at the best of times. i found the content to be poorly organised. some of the primary sources shown during lectures were interesting but that was about it. such a shame
