Great subject covering a wide variety of topics. The field trip was very enjoyable, although we had terrible weather and were forced to skip several of the planned sites. The pracs were varied in style and content, and the exam was straightforward, testing an overall understanding of subject content.

Great subject, all very interesting. The field trip to grampians was a real highlight however did take 4 full days, and not that much work was done during the time. very broad subject matter, including forms of land forms and ecology and everything in between. If you are studying natural sciences this subject will relate to you in some way.

Very broad subject covering biogeography, landforms, ecosystem function and a bit of paleobiology. Interesting stuff especially if you looking into natural sciences fieldwork of any sort; plenty of experienced tutors especially during the field trip where there's lots to see and do. Past students will tell you about Prof Thomas being really disorganised but knowledgable, but check first because I hear he's retiring this year. Fair bit of content to remember but it will be easy if you're an environments fan.
