H1 (84). Making Micro Documentaries isn't necessarily a WAM booster but if you put in the effort you could certainly score higher than myself. I put minimal effort into the main assignment which was worth 50%, choosing a medium and model of documentary that was obviously pretty lazy (lwk like a tiktok) and scored somewhere in the 60s for it. My reflection however got me a 94 and totally saved me lifted my grade back into an H1. Definitely put more effort into your main film as by simply using more filming techniques you should do well if your film idea is fair. The two online test assessments that are taken early in the semester are easy and only involve skimming through the first few lectures to extract what type of documentary models and modes there are and what techniques exist and applying them to example multiple choice questions. They're worth 25% and you should easily score in the 90s for both if you apply your lecture notes. I approached this with literally 0 filmmaking, editing, directing skills of any sort but could've certainly put in more effort for the documentary (did mine in almost a single take). I probably put less than 20 hours into this subject over the entire semester (literally just picked a single day to film and then edited weeks later, watched the first few lectures relevant to the quizzes on 2.5x speed etc). Only reason I'm rating this subject 3 stars is because there other level 1 breadth subjects are definitely better WAM boosters for the relative workload (see CCDP10003 - Video Games: Remaking Reality). This being an online subject is a plus but it's also sort of easy to forget about this subject at times. I'd recommend this subject to those who genuinely have a keen interest in documentaries or are already into filmmaking and are pursuing a career in it, otherwise, better options likely exist.
