Interesting and practical subject, and its greatest strength was how the assessments are 1) flexible and 2) build on top of each other. You get to write about any health/education issue for the first assessment, then propose an intervention for this issue through an oral presentation and final essay / explanatory paper. I thought it was a decent breadth subject. It was a bit dry at times, but I could tell the teaching staff was very passionate about their work and really did their best to cultivate a supportive learning environment!

It's now called Links Between Health and Learning. The tutor and lecturer were nice but the content wasn't always super engaging (although there were a few weeks with guest lectures about current programs being run that were really interesting). The assignments are really easy to do well in because they give you a rubric that breaks down what you have to do to get every mark. Readings were irrelevant to everything other than the two quizzes, and tutorials were two hours, but didn't seem to have enough material to fill the time. Overall, an ok subject.
