This was a fantastic subject to take, and it broadened my theoretical lenses beyond that which was covered in Law in Society. The theorists covered were really interesting and they were really applicable to contemporary legal issues. Matt was an amazing seminar leader and explained the concepts really well. The assessments were actually enjoyable to complete and was a good break from the monotonous research essays. The only downside was that the theoretical readings were quite dense and hard to understand (the seminars helped with this though!). The breakout rooms were also dead and a waste of time, but of course this is not the fault of the teaching staff. Would recommend to anyone that enjoyed Law in Society, or has an interest in critically analysing law!
