This was such a fun subject! I do only recommend doing it if you're interested in this area of science as the workload is big. Don't be frightened by the scary research readings, I promise they start making sense (and you'll feel very smart about it). Overall I recommend all of the CEDB subjects due to their very practical & 'real world' focus.

Incredibly interesting subject content and fairly straightforward assessments. Whilst the large amount of information presented in each lecture (particularly guest lectures) can be overwhelming, there is sufficient guidance as to what is examinable making a H1 fairly obtainable.

It was a well taught subject and very interesting. The class is adapted each year to give an up to date view on stem cells technology. Likewise guest lecturers were leaders in their fields. CEDB30004 had a combination of lectures, workshops and interactive tutorials. The class discussions in the ethics tutorials were especially interesting. Importantly, both the MSTs and exams were adequate. It is quite easy to get a H1.
