(Summer Term Subject) This subject is super interesting, and very well taught. The coordinator is an expert in this field - and it's obvious. It's less focused on typical law things and more focused on discussing and debating the intent of the law, and the current state of the law around digital platforms. There's a lot of focus on consumer privacy, data protection law and targeted advertising. There are way too many readings - everyone in my class, including those doing no part time work had a really hard time getting through them. My advice would be to read the shorter ones, and then read a summary of the longer ones (ie Reports or Laws etc), and potentially news articles about them if they're available, so you have some idea of the content to debate it in class. Attending tutorials is vital - you won't pass if you don't. Overall, I really enjoyed this subject and recommend it to anyone who likes arguing!
