The first part of the course (parasitology and evolution) is extremely content heavy and minuscule details that seem as though they are of no importance are assessed. I'm talking really specific details mentioned such as the caption of a picture on a slide. The genetics part was really straight forward, though, and Dawn was an incredible lecturer. Patricia's lectures were mostly a recap of the 2016 study design of 3/4 biology so they were fairly straight forward. The course was made interesting by the inclusion of relevant case studies and diseases (some of the pictures can be quite graphic for 8am!). Overall, this was a pretty straight forward subject if you're willing to put in the work and practice the genetic crosses. Last topic was population genetics (same as in Math for Biomed) which was quite an easy way to end the semester. The only reason I won't give this a perfect score is because they refused to provide answers for the tutorial questions, which meant that there was no point in doing them for revision (and the best questions were in here so it was a waste).

good subject with details on transcription and translation and mutations. Also, punnet square questions that requires logic. needs practice.

If you stay on top of the content (because there is a LOT), it's interesting and well-organised. Pracs weren't much fun, but the assessments are fair and the lecturers are really enthusiastic.
