I needed an extra level 3 science elective and came across this subject, it is so much better than I expected. The cohort is small compared to my other subjects and profs and tutors are super down to earth. Assignments are evenly distributed across the semester and fairly marked.

As a genetics student, most of the 'plant genetics' portion I already knew, but it was all explained quite well (some sections a lot better than the genetics classes themselves). There was a bit of an overabundance of guest lecturers whose lectures often had a lot of real-world topics that were difficult to pick apart for what the key points to remember actually were. The pracs were alright but I wish we got more hands-on stuff.
