Hi there! My name’s Alesha, and I’m a second-year university student with an ATAR of 98.55. I studied 3U Mathematics, 2U English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering Studies, so I’m extremely familiar with the senior syllabus and what it takes to excel. I’m passionate about teaching students and supporting them in fully understanding the material they’re learning. Currently, I tutor a wide range of students from Kindergarten to Year 12, and I love seeing that moment when everything “clicks.” I strongly believe that everyone deserves access to quality education, and I strive to keep my rates affordable at $50 per hour. Subjects I Teach I specialise in science, mathematics and english, but I also tutor other subjects, including: Mathematics: K-12 (Standard, Advanced, Extension 1) English: K-12 (Standard, Advanced, Extension 1) Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics Engineering Studies Business Studies, Legal Studies Ancient and Modern History PDHPE and CAFS I can also assist with early entry applications and UAC preferences to help students navigate the transition to university. Teaching Style I use a method I call TEER—some of my students jokingly refer to it as “tears”! T: Theory E: Explain E: Examples R: Reflection This structure helps students not just memorise concepts but truly understand and consolidate their learning. Lesson Details 1-on-1 lessons ensure a full focus on the student. Group lessons (3+) are available for $40 per hour per person (perfect for friends wanting to learn together!). Lessons can run for 1 to 2+ hours, depending on the student’s preference. I prefer to tutor from my home school office, which is equipped with a whiteboard, large desk spaces, and a quiet environment to ensure the best learning experience. However I run online classes and travel for a fee! Experience I have four years of tutoring experience and currently work with students across a wide range of ages and abilities.
