Hi, my name is Rafael Jones. I'm a mature age third-year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Melbourne, combining academic excellence with real-world experience. For the past two years, I have worked as a research assistant in a structural biology and protein chemistry lab at WEHI, developing skills in protein crystallography, purification, and biochemical analysis while excelling in my studies. In addition to my academic and research background, I have extensive solo backpacking experience across South America and South East Asia and leadership experience through various roles in management. These experiences have equipped me with a strong ability to connect with people of all backgrounds, communicate effectively, and have strong organizational abilities, making me reliable and relatable. As a tutor, I bring a friendly, approachable attitude, along with the ability to simplify complex concepts and help students build their confidence. I’m committed to helping students achieve their goals and develop a deeper understanding of their subjects. I have strong interest in Maths and Science and love delving into this content with other students.
