To whom this may concern, I’m a 3rd Year (out of 4) Medical Student studying to become a Doctor (Doctor of Medicine program). I specialize in primary and secondary school education: English, Math, PDHPE and Science (Biology and Chemistry). I have over 5 years of experience teaching/mentoring primary, secondary and tertiary students (other University Students as Anatomy and Physiology Tutor at Macquarie University and GAMSAT/MMI Tutoring). I have accrued multiple testimonials during my work and included them in the advertisement for your reference. I am a verified experienced and effective Tutor. Why do I work so well with parents/students? Beyond my professional capabilities, I incorporate a Socratic method with my tutoring style and various evidence-based principles in ensuring cultivation of critical thinking skills (as opposed to rote learning) as per Bloom’s Taxonomy. I acquired my unique approach to tutoring from my studying Bloom’s Taxonomy as part of completing GAMSAT and MMI aptitude tests necessary for admission into a Medical Program in Australia. Going through this process myself as well as tutoring tertiary students who later were admitted into an Australian Medical school has allowed me to bring principles of high-level academic thinking down to an accessible level for primary and secondary education. By studying the skills and tools that academically gifted students use, my students are also able to perform well in their studies and exams. I can only take on a few more students due to limited spots, do not miss out. You will be hard pressed to find another tutor of my experience and skills. For renumeration I ask for a rate of $75 per hour to cover expenses associated with my services. I either tutor at Top Ryde Library, Macquarie University Library OR over zoom. I do not offer free trials due to multiple negative experiences in the past. Kind regards, Shayan B.Clinsc, M.D. (2021-2024)
