Note: only taking a couple more students for undergrad MMI preparation as my schedule is nearly booked :( Current Doctor of Medicine student at UoM, CSP, first round - first preference, but I did also receive a USyd Metro CSP offer. 2024 Transparency / Record: In 2024, all 7 of my international students received multiple offers. I had an additional 22 domestic students, with 20 receiving offers, most at their top preference. CASPer: I had 14 students, 12 received Q4, 3 of which scored Q1 the year prior. I tutor CASPer, Section II GAMSAT, and MMI preparation for medical school interviews. I'm a former Psychology lecturer/tutor at Griffith University who has moved to Melbourne and is now doing the Doctor of Medicine. Psychology is obviously fundamental in understanding how to approach humanities type situations (CASPer/MMI/S2) so I am well positioned to help you achieve your best. I scored 75/83/79 in GAMSAT, with a 4th Quartile CASPer - and have helped many students get offers after their MMI, and drastically improve their scores in S2 and CASPer. For MMIs, try a few tutors, then try me - that way you'll understand why I charge more, and you'll agree I'm worth it. I'm always shocked by some of the things other tutors say that are just scarily wrong... I encourage all students to evaluate your tutor carefully, are they simply a 1.75 combo student who walked through their interview due to their amazing combo and now tutor because they saw a few YouTube videos? Shoot me a message asking for testimonials if you'd like :) I don't find it offensive, and am always happy to brag about my students' success! In terms of what you'll get from me, you'll receive a comprehensive tutoring program. I won't just show you the mistakes you've made - I'll show you how to approach questions for both CASPer and MMI. Don't fall into the echo chamber of MMI prep with your friends who aren't any more experienced than you, get advice from a tutor from the beginning so you aren't building bad habits. My interest in Psychology was scale validation, which is pivotal in understanding the innerworkings of CASPer / MMI criteria marking. I won't be wasting your time talking about your presentation, your stuttering, or um's and ahs, they're the basics that you can review yourself, you don't need to waste your money on me with that. Happy to do it, but would get better yield if we focused on your content, where your actual marks come from. Happy to do a half hour session @ half the normal rate if you want to taste test your tutors before diving in. As a quick tidbit, if you're mentioning the 4 pillars of ethics in your MMI, you need me ASAP :P Whilst in my tutoring role at Griffith, multiple students asked if I was willing to privately tutor them, which was forbidden by Griffith while working for them. Now that I've moved and left the role, it is open season. You'll see real quick that I'm worth the $120/h. I also offer group sessions at $75 per person. I now have three Bachelor's Degrees, in Med, Economics, and Psych. Why? Idk, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in life, so I tried a bit of everything. This does mean however, I bring a wide lens to my teaching which helps you develop lateral thinking in complex scenarios presented in CASPer/MMIs. A fun aside, I was also a lecturer at Sichuan University in China, but admittedly this was just for English.. nonetheless international students should feel comfortable selecting me as their tutor, with all English levels catered to (IELTS 6+ ideally). Talk to you soon!

Made this acc just to leave a review. Met WhitestAsian in the discord when I was practising with some friends, he dropped by to give some free advice which was super insightful and kind of blew me away by how thorough he was. Figured he was some sort of tutor so got in contact, price was a real barrier for me though unfortunately. Couldn't get many sessions with him but cannot believe how much each session helped, just totally changed my view of MMI. It was kind of funny in some ways because I just felt so knocked back after our sessions because I became so critical of myself, because listening to his feedback I sort of learned how to critique and evaluate myself. So when I was practising alone I'd be like 'damn Dan would roast me for saying that, can't say that again' and man it actually worked. I guess his funny colour grading scheme kinda imprinted in my brain and I could begin to recognise how to mark myself. Dan was pretty understanding financially and knew from the beginning we would not be long term, so he had a pretty significant focus on giving me the skills to improve alone without the hand holding, and spent quite a bit of time making sure I understood what my next steps were every time we met. Idk what else to say, tutoring with Dan was like the lifecycle of a bird? First session he force-fed me a tonne of information to get me up to speed, and I felt like I really was with the right tutor, and then the next session he threw me off a cliff and watched me try and fly (crashed btw). A couple sessions later I was flying and well, got into med school so it was definitely worth it. I got a CSP at UoM and sounds like a good portion of my incoming cohort has been through Dan so its kind of funny to think 20 or so of us have this mutual connection that we'll probably never even mention (sorry mate). Oh and last thing I do want to mention Dan was pretty good at replying outside of our sessions to my random med questions about UoM, hospital placements, etc, which tbh is super valuable when you're trying to reduce nerves and anxiety etc, really appreciated that. Anyway highly recommend this bloke, really don't think id have gotten in this year if I didn't meet the infamous whitestasian lol.

I discovered Dan a few weeks before my MMI, and he was incredibly helpful in the sessions we had! I was amazed at how thoroughly he explains concepts and works through interview questions with incredible detail and depth. One thing is certain, he knows how to emphasise on incorporating empathy into responses, which is integral to do well, and he doesn't just namedrop it here and there! Dan also provides detailed and thoughtful answers to any question you bring up, along with written notes about what to avoid and how to improve next time. These were great for keeping track of progress and refining answers over time. He also helps you craft well-structured responses to the most common interview questions, which gave me a solid foundation. Not only is he a great tutor, he's also a really friendly person outside of sessions! If you're considering working with Dan, I highly recommend taking the step - you'll notice the difference and feel much more confident heading into your interviews!

Dan helped me analyse scenarios in depth. He would give me a chance to answer the questions first and then provoke my thinking by providing relevant information and knowledge, followed by giving me his model answer. After all these he would encourage me to try to answer again utilising what I have just learned from him. He would also provide written feedback which I can go over in my own time afterwards. Before the interview we did a full mock, which prepared me to cope with the mental and physical stress of the real interview. Using Dan’s service not only helped me get my dream offer but also made me more empathetic and articulate, which I found super helpful at work and in life as well. Dan is truly a caring and empathetic tutor, and I am very grateful!

I’m a first time med applicant with a combo on the lower side, so I knew I needed a strong interview to get a place. I started looking for MMI tutors a bit too late - the day before interview offers came out. I went with Dan because they were recommended to me by a friend. After seven sessions in the two week lead up to my interview, I had improved leaps and bounds from someone who barely knew how to formulate an MMI response to getting an offer from the university I interviewed at. Dan is a very thorough tutor: transcribing your responses and dissecting them sentence by sentence, and not sugarcoating when you’ve done something wrong or could do better. This is a tutoring style I appreciated because I could not waste the two weeks I had with wishy washy feedback. Dan offered exemplar responses and strategies for when I got stuck during a response. Their massive breadth of knowledge meant that I was comfortable in my MMI, having seen different flavours of the questions before with Dan. They still made sessions really fun and was so easy to talk to! You can tell how passionate they are about tutoring. Highly recommend Dan if you’re looking for a tutor who gets right to the point!!

Dan was really helpful for my pre-med prep. He helped me improve from a Q1 to Q4 in a few weeks of Casper prep, and score a CSP offer in my top preference. I also felt more confident and prepared thanks to our sessions as he provided heaps of tailored feedback and advice. Highly recommend!

I reached out to Dan when I first started preparing for Casper and had sessions with him right up until my interview. At our first session I explained some of the ways I was approaching prep and he listened…..then he thankfully kindly and patiently guided me in a completely different direction haha (the right one). There is so much information online, which is great, but it is also challenging to know which advice to follow and what is actually the best approach. Daniel helps you navigate all of this by guiding you to focus on what is important and drawing on his own experiences and other MD students he has tutored. He helps you develop a general approach to questions, understand where your areas of improvement lie and provides constantly practical and tangible feedback on how to keep developing. I learnt so much in each session with him and they were often full of some good laughs too. He is a genuinely kind and caring person (who will no doubt make an excellent doctor) and its awesome to spend sessions learning from him on the topics you are studying but also his approach to medicine generally. I am still in total shock and cannot believe it but I was lucky to gain a place offer this year. Daniel played an instrumental role in making this happen and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Even though I worked with Dan only for a short period of time towards the end of my MMI preparation, I found him to be an incredibly valuable resource. His insights and advice significantly improved my approach to the interview process and helped shape my perspectives on key topics. This helped me to get an offer this year for 2025 entry.

After successfully tackling CASPER with Dan’s help, I didn’t hesitate to go back to him for my MMI interview prep for UoW, my top-choice medical school. Dan’s approach was incredibly thorough; he provided detailed feedback with notes after every session and gave me specific homework to keep me moving forward in the right areas. He was quick to point out my strengths and areas needing improvement, set focus points for each session, and made sure I fully understood new material by practicing applications with me during our sessions. Beyond all the structure and techniques, he genuinely cared about how I was feeling throughout the prep process. He helped me manage my mindset and create a good balance between my uni studies and MMI prep, so I could stay efficient without burning out. I’m honestly still in shock and can hardly believe it, but I got an offer to my top-choice medical school! I never expected to make it all the way through on my first attempt, and I owe so much of that to Dan’s support and belief in me. I’d recommend him to anyone gearing up for CASPER, MMI, or any part of the med school admissions process — he really is the best!

I have sat through 2 interview cycles in 2022 and 2023, and failed both, despite being a bit more mature in age, I figured I would be quite strong in the interviews. I've always felt I'm a pretty well rounded and social guy so I went into the first interview confident to show my personality and skills, but was devastated with an EONY. So in 2023 I got serious, practised a bunch in the gamsat servers, had two different tutors guide me through the process, one from a company and one a current medical student, and somehow got knocked back again in 2023... a lot poorer to show for it. So in 2024 I hunted around, talked to a bunch of people, did 1-hour sessions with like 9 tutors, and landed on Daniel in the end. Despite being pricey, he gave me notes to reflect on after every session, highlighted things I said well, things to improve on, and what was just wasting time. He picked apart every answer and gave me pretty lengthy dissected transcripts of my answers, no idea how he types so fast. He was critical to my improvement in my MMIs and I cannot say enough positive things. Dan held my hand through the year, guiding me through the process, and helped me secure my dream uni, UoM, for 2025. Choose Dan and you won't regret it.

I contacted Daniel a few weeks before UoW offers came out because I had a felt I had a good shot at an interview. Knowing UoW is a 2 hour open form MMI, I knew I'd need to know MMI inside and out to survive the interrogation. Daniel ran me through a bunch of basic questions, explained where I was lacking, helped me improve my understanding of the MMI, and had me ready for all sorts of questions. He then me through multiple full-length mock interviews, and provided very comprehensive feedback. He was also there to answer my questions between sessions when I had any, I really feel so blessed to have met him. I went into the UoW interview very prepared but still quite nervous obviously, and ultimately, felt I performed very well as we had tackled most questions prior. I'm literally shaking typing this, and I've had to read the email like 30 times to confirm its real, but I am sooo proud and excited to say, I have been offered a CSP spot at UoW in 2025. Given my combo.. I genuinely thought I'd never have a shot because of GAMSAT getting in the way. I cannot recommend him enough and I'll be sending anyone who asks me, ever, to Daniel.

I did 7 sessions with Dan in the two-weeks leading up to my med MMI. His guidance was invaluable - direct and well aligned with the MMI assessment criteria. Dan helped me get used to being uncomfortable and I highly recommend him for MMI preparation!

If you're after top quality MMI prep, then Dan is the tutor you need to be working with. I couldn't recommend Dan more highly. His understanding of what the markers are looking for in the MMI and how he can help people get the best out of themselves come the actual interview was essential to helping me secure my place in a medicine degree on my first go applying.

I reached out to Dan as soon as I got my MMI offer, so about 2.5 weeks before my actual interview date. As someone whose combo score barely scraped an interview, I knew my chances were incredibly slim. Thanks to Dan, I was in absolute disbelief when I got a CSP for my 1st preference uni for my first application. Every lesson was clear, directed, with a focus or theme of our choosing. His questions are thoughtful, and his reflections on your responses are even more nuanced. There are so many details and ideas I simply wouldn't have been able to grasp without his feedback. He also has a well-rounded understanding of the med school application system, and tailors his tutoring towards the university you're applying for. It is so clear that Dan has a natural affinity for teaching - every lesson was incredibly fun and informative, and I genuinely felt like I got my money's worth out of every session. He won't sugarcoat anything for you - he'll tell you exactly where you did well and what needs work. I was honestly sad when tutoring was over. Dan is an exceptional tutor, a lovely individual, and cares so deeply for his students. He will see you through from the beginning of your preparation all the way to anxiously awaiting offers. Couldn't recommend him enough - you won't regret choosing him for your MMI preparation.

Thanks to Dan, I feel that I smashed my CASPR and my medical school interview, copping a CSP offer in the process. Dan is the most comprehensive tutor you'll find for medical interviews and CASPR. You have here a guy who is very comprehensive in his understanding of what is sought after in prospective applicants. For me, he helped frame my structure and content for these occasions such that I really was able to relax and let my personality shine. Dan is a highly emotionally intelligent guy and definitely helped instill that ethos in me during our prep. Towards the end of my interview prep, Dan kindly offered to run a full interview mock with me, which I felt really sharpened my senses and gave me an idea of how the interview process can be a bit of a marathon. This is just one example of how Dan pulls out the stops to ensure that you are as best prepared as possible for the big day. I've been with a few other tutors, and none are as comprehensive and knowledgeable or caring about your progress as Dan is. If you're serious about your prep., you couldn't find a better tutor.

Dan truly kicked my ass.. but it was exactly what I needed to get a first round CSP at Unimelb next year, after failing and failing at MMIs for 2 years, despite doing literal months of preparation and going to multiple tutors. Dan taught me how to empathise and communicate this empathy in a fluent and impressive way to the marker. This was something that I heavily struggled with. In our sessions, Dan had the guts to bluntly roast my answers (which a lot of tutors didn't do), but he was also friendly, encouraging and supportive at the same time.. and it helped me build the confidence I needed to get that offer!! More importantly, he pointed out subtle aspects of my communication, presentation, and content that would have been off-putting to assessors, leaving a negative impression - things I would never have noticed on my own. Dan has an incredible grasp how to do well in an MMI, so I believe this guy deserves every dollar that you pay him! If someone like me can pass with the right advice... so can you!! Highly recommend 11/10 🤗

Dan changed the way I approached MMIs. Even in questions where I genuinely didn't think there was much else I could have mentioned, he still manages to bring up different perspectives and angles to which I could have tackled the question including ways I could have demonstrated more empathy or problem solving. He isn't afraid to criticise you (which is ok because he knows his stuff) and in my opinion it would be high yield to get at least a few sessions with him. My only regret is that I didn't get CASPER sessions with him (sobs in 3rd quartile).

I had some very informative sessions with Dan. He helped me develop a wonderful base of knowledge on public, rural, and indigenous health for some questions deeming prior knowledge. Besides that, the main selling point for me was the recommendations on how I can change my tone and speech to sound more empathetic, one of the most important criteria for Australian MMIs. Highly recommend!

Dan is an amazing interview tutor, let me give you some context: I am an international student, so I could apply to multiple universities. I prepared for Casper following general advice from YouTube and courses on the internet, and to my dismay I absolutely bombed it. I received a 1st quartile. I knew then that I couldn’t afford to mess around for my interviews and that my self-study wasn’t working, I needed advice and exposure from mock interviews with a medical student. I came across Dan by chance and decided to go for it. I am so glad I did ! As international students we really don’t have the luxury of applying the next year if we don’t make it in our current year. His advice is practical and definitely not sugarcoated (which i quickly learned to appreciate haha), I saw real improvement in myself after 2-3 sessions and with that my confidence increased as well. My student visa was expiring and my Gamsat & GPA scores weren’t super competitive. I had only one shot at my unis, If I didn’t get in I wouldn’t be able to apply again next year. I am happy to say that I got into all 6 universities that I applied for! And I believe that Dan had a huge part to play in that. I would definitely recommend and vouch for him. I would say that he is totally worth the expense and his advice is so helpful that you honestly wouldn’t even need too many sessions. Try your luck and ask for the Ale empathy discount 😁

Hi. I applied as an international student to UQ, UoM, and MQ. I did not have much notice for preparations, so I only worked with Daniel for 2.5 weeks. We did 13 sessions. I received offers from all three and found Daniel good to work with. He was very friendly and made the preparation more enjoyable. I accepted UoM, so I will see you next year Daniel. Highly recommend.

At the start of the year, I tried a few different tutors, but I kept getting vague advice like "your answer is good, but the structure could improve," which honestly didn't help much. I was getting tired of paying for such basic feedback, so I decided to try Dan. I worked with Dan for CASPer prep, and later for MMI prep after scoring in the 4th quartile. To my surprise, I ended up getting a UQ CSP spot with a low 1.67x combo, so I didn't actually need the CASPer in the end. Dan is a very knowledgeable guy who completely changed the way I approached MMIs. I feel extremely lucky to have randomly found him on discord one day. Last year, despite practicing with friends for at least 40 hours, I was still rejected after my MMI. This year, I wanted to make sure I got the right advice, and Dan delivered. I'll definitely vouch for Dan. Thanks for everything, man. I'll reach out again when I'm applying for specialty interviews!

I prepared a lot of time for the 2023 interviews, hours every day, and did tried a few tutors and felt confident. I was really upset when I did not receive any offer even though I interviewed at 3 universities. So this year I tried Dan and he is very different to my other tutors. This year I interview 2 times and received two offers for 2025!!!! So anyway I am happy to write this for Dan. thank you my friend. I wish I found you in 2023.

Dan helped marked some of my essays in the lead up to the March 2024 GAMSAT exam. His advice was on point, and he gave actual actionable advice (as I find that sometimes when my essays are marked by others, the feedback is more about the content of the topic, but it's not very translationable advice to SII in general). So, it was great that Dan offered detailed and comprehensive feedback that was easy for me to digest so that I could improve on my other pieces. Highly recommend!

I couldn't recommend Dan more highly! Just a few weeks before my first CASPER sitting, I knew almost nothing about the test — what it assessed or how to approach it. Thanks to Dan's incredible tutoring and guidance, I sat my CASPER with confidence and was thrilled to receive a 4th quartile score, a true testament to his effective tutoring style and the belief he instills in his students. I'm now being tutored by him again for MMI preparation and didn't hesitate for a second to seek his help. Dan is exceptional, and I've recommended him to everyone I know who will be sitting CASPER next year!
