I have a strong passion for maths and I have been tutoring at various levels for the past 4 years. I really do believe that anyone can succeed in maths with the right help. My academic record: Bachelor of Mathematics GPA: 6.7/7 | Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence x 4 Advanced Graduate Diploma, Mathematics and Statistics WAM: 84.4 | First Class Honours My approach to tutoring is to first and foremost listen to your needs and goals for the semester. From there we can find the right balance of developing a good conceptual understanding of the topics at hand and focusing on the underlying skills and techniques required. If you would like to focus on assignments, I can help to break down the problems and provide some scaffolding. Additionally, I can give advice and strategies relating to final exams. Broadly speaking, the areas I cover in tutoring are: mathematical foundations, calculus (single variable, multi variable, vector), real analysis, general topology, metric spaces and linear algebra. In person tutoring on UniMelb campus or possibly elsewhere in the inner city. I offer a free 1 hr consultation/chance to see if it is the right fit.
