Hey! My name is James and I'm a medical student at the University of Melbourne who's passionate about helping students improve their problem solving skills. My aim as a tutor is to help you improve your GAMSAT S3 marks to 80+ by using the same strategies that allowed me to achieve 84 in Section 3 without profusely studying physics or chemistry. In our lessons, we will work on the fundamental skills required to interpret GAMSAT-style questions. GAMSAT S3 questions are a science-themed problem solving exercise. Whilst many others focus on 'themed' sections like physics, organic chemistry or biology - there is no need for that. We will instead focus on logical reasoning and break down complex questions step-by-step, and you will learn to: 1. Interpret visual texts - graphs, flow charts, tables 2. Recognise patterns effectively 3. Develop core numerical reasoning skills - manipulating numbers and equations 4. Master verbal reasoning - decode difficult text-heavy questions I will teach you the essential strategies required to be efficient with problem-solving, whether you are from a non-science or science background.
