I am a third-year Linguistics student with a particular passion for studying and teaching languages. I have achieved high distinctions for English, Italian and Indonesian subjects throughout my school and university career, and would be delighted to help you achieve similar success! I am happy to provide you with study notes and sample texts/questions, review your work, and answer any queries you may have regarding grammar, word choice and assessments. I have chosen only to tutor Italian, however, as it is a language I have grown up around, and one that I've done a fair amount of academic writing in. Due to COVID, I will only be offering online tutoring and help this year. My teaching style is relaxed, transparent and interactive. For second language subjects, I tend to employ the language teaching process of translanguaging, which is the systematic use of the first language and the target language in classroom discussions. This provides a comfortable space for students to share their knowledge across both languages, and allows for the successful transfer of comprehensible input in the target language throughout the lesson.
