Reviews

VCE biology really helps and so does the textbook, labs can get pretty intense so make sure you have had a good read of the manual before you go in for the sake of you and your partner, miles ahead of 1011 for enjoyment and topics, however still faces the same issues of TA's who are not the best

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2018

Unit is really similar to VCE 3&4 Biology although there are a few new topics that you’ll need to learn. Overall not too hard

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2018

Really enjoyed this unit. Different lecturers every 2-4 lectures and they were subject matter experts and generally very engaging. The exam is entirely MCQ but don't let that lure you into a false sense of security! This unit is interesting and reasonably paced - make sure you do the readings!

better than BIO1011 for sure. huge improvement

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2016

This was a good unit. Really good flow from BIO1011.

Excellent subject. Really enjoyed it :) would definitely recommend.

Good unit, but can get dry at times. Having notes helps a lot!

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014

Great unit, it is really interesting. A good refresher for those who did bio in VCE and also a good intro for those who didnt. The labs are interesting. Some of the plant lectures are a bit content heavy and require a good memory but overall a great unit to take
