It really tests your financial understanding and good for building the basis of finance to explore further

A really good introduction to finance, and similar to BFC1001. Weekly tutorial questions were helpful in consolidating the theory taught in lectures, and for preparing for the mid-sem and exam. A lot of work is required throughout the semester in order to successfully pass the unit, so it's important to stay on top of everything otherwise it can be difficult to catch up as a lot of the topics link together. A majority of the unit is on capital budgeting, so it's important to make sure you fully understand it as it forms a major part of the exam. Overall an interesting and enjoyable unit!

Don't skip the first lecture as the first 5 weeks are the most important part of this course. If you get the most out of these 5 topics, you will do well in the rest of this course. Although formula sheet is given in the tests, try your best to memorize them as it will save you some time. Do not let the practice test/exam fool you because the real ones are way harder and longer. Theory component is also very important as it will come up in the test and exam. Capital budgeting and financial structure are the most challenging topics. Overall finance is an interesting major.

similar to BFC1001 but a little bit more application

Difficult for those not comfortable with maths, easy for those who are. Very useful foundation subject to consider the way the financial world structures capital for companies.

Excellent unit in terms of learning knowledge for Corporate Finance. Content is very heavy, however, effort can ensure a good grade!

Doing all the tutorial exercises and know how to do each questions will guarantee you at least a pass or credit in this unit. To make it D or HD you need to know the theory and concept of basic finance covered in this unit.
