Reviews

It's a great introduction to the statistics and research methods you will be learning throughout your psychology degree. Perfect for someone who isn't too great at maths as it surprisingly doesn't lean too much on it. The practicals and tutorials are interesting and doeable and actually teach you a lot. Can be a bit challenging but still manageable!

I really enjoyed this unit. The content is fairly easy, and there actually isn't much math (because the software does it for you) outside of a couple of simple formulas you have to learn. Definitely go to all the practicals though because you can get stuck sometimes. I loved my tutor and she was extremely helpful, I really recommend the unit.

This unit was fairly ok. For those who aren't strong in maths, I recommend getting a tutor as some of the concepts and software, STATA, were challenging at times. I also highly recommend attending the PAL sessions as they were a life saver and really helped. Overall, the unit was quite engaging and did enjoy some aspects of the course.
