Seminars were too long, and lectures were done online. Given lectures were online not sure why seminar needed to be 3 hours. Would have been good to be able to choose our own research topic. Lecturer was good and note handouts were great.

Tutor was really nice and engaging. Content was about research and went into depth about it all which was helpful. Marking was fair and overall a good unit.

Lyn is a good teacher but the unit is too in-depth in research...also similar to a Ph.D UNIT

This unit is really good for a basic intro to social research (no joke), it's super duper organised and the lecturer/tutors are sooooo fantastic, really helpful and just generally pleasant to deal with. I won't whinge but there is quite a lot of work involved, there are about three big important assessment components and two smaller ones (you get heaps of guidance though), and if you don't keep on top of the lectures and readings you might fall behind. The content was a little bit bland sometimes but that's social research for you, overall a good unit.
