Loved this unit, super organised with essay questions and marks released very early. Content is interesting, would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed this unit. Interesting information. All linked together well. Essays were broad, you were left to make up your own question/thesis which meant we weren't sure how to structure it and I was then criticised for not having a clear argument. But I'm not exactly sure what I was meant to be arguing. Tutorials are only as good as you make it. Mine were interesting as we were able to have an open discussion of different perspectives about the weeks topic. Although, tutorials could've been shorter and lectures longer. Final exam wasn't overly easy but was fair, you just had to study for it and it was alright. Overall, a well run unit.

The assessments are super disorganised and have little to no structure or guidelines. This course was super vague on many things, of which they marked you down for in all the assessments.

Quite disorganised, though the lecturer was super nice. Unfortunately there was only an audio recording of the lecture, readings were all over the place, and ilearn wasn't updated for weeks at a time.

This gets two stars because the lecturer is a generous marker (and also really nice) so I should probs return the favour. I don't want to overwhelm you but to sum it up: disorganised, terrible use of iLearn (no discussion forum, lecture materials weren't posted for like 5 weeks straight, only audio recordings of lectures were available), little to no guidelines for assessments, and a very rude guest lecturer. Lectures themselves were very unstructured and not very interesting??? So it was hard to even just follow the content. Tbh I would just avoid this unit!
