Enjoyed it as an elective. The poster assignment was meh as it felt like they wanted an infographic instead. My poster could barely fit any visuals, and the design aspect felt a bit loaded. Though design wasn't included in the rubric, the instructions where you access the rubric clearly state "Effective use of graphics, colour, and fonts," and "Consistent and clean layout,". They also provide a mock poster and there are plenty of opportunities to inquire about the assignment during tutorials. Nevertheless, interesting content for a first-year unit and easy to do well in.

Tutors have a hidden expectation of students that they don't tell you about. First assignment you have to make a poster, if you use a font or colour they don't like, they DEDUCT MARKS FROM YOU. Bear in mind; this is not on the marking criteria, so pretty sure they cant be doing that. Cant undertand Alex the lecture, why the hell is he a lecturer. Tutors were so crap as well. DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF

Pretty easy. Lecture content only worth 20% (in the form of 2x10% quizzes), so you don't even have to watch them and can get away with looking through the slides. 2000 word essay replaces final exam and is effectively worth 70% which is also not too hard as long as you manage your time decently well. Although the 2000 word essay was a bit of a trek for an elective to me, if you're already experienced with essay writing it should be no problem for you.

The subject is interesting and easy. But the lecturer, Alex, is kind of rude when students ask questions on the forums. He isn't helpful and we often got more information out of fellow students who had to directly email him to clarify something.
