I had Tanya Evans for this one and she really drills all of the content knowledge into you. This is a really good basis of knowledge to have when studying Modern, and helps you understand the world around you much better.

This is an interesting look at Austraian history from a global perspective. The tutors in the course genuinely want you to do your best and hold workshops and peer marking throughout the semester to help you. The convenor, Margaret is also really helpful and unlike a lot of other tutors, provides direct answers to your questions on the student forum rather than attempting to be confusing and not fully answer the question. This is a unit which you can potentially do really well in if you do your readings, and have good communication skills.

This is probably one of the best subjects in the university, but there is a large amount of readings, stay on top of that, and you will enjoy it very much. Lectures are well informed and tutorials are highly engaging. It not only looks at world history, but also the interconnections and significance for Australia.
