Agree with previous review. Two years on, this unit has not seem to have changed at all. Unfortunately it is part of the Public Relations major. Continues to be purely theoretical with no real world application whatsoever.

As far as PACE units go, this one is a bit of a disappointment. The unit continues to teach theory relating to the content of MAS389, while giving you the task of working in a group on a PR campaign for an organisation partnered with the PACE program. The people from these organisations were great to work with, but unfortunately we got very little time with them. The bulk of the work feels like a formulaic grind, and due to the nature of the marking it can feel very stressful if you're working with people who aren't very present or don't work well. I don't feel as if this unit in anyway prepared me to work in the public relations industry, or aided me in making industry connections, or allowed me to gain any meaningful experience whatsoever. So, as PACE units go, not too good.
