A real challenge, but really fun. Content is a bit all over the place at times and the assessments can be tricky, but it's a great experience if you're able to commit to it. The hardest part comes from the group assessment. You CAN choose who you work with though, so scope out who seems friendly and engaged early on and don't be afraid to take the initiative to snap them up. Working with someone who's unreliable (or just and asshole) can make or break this class, and there's always a few tears so don't sweat it. The tutors are there to help you with these things, and they are a huge help.

One of my favourite subjects I've taken! I found the topics very interesting and relevant and the workload wasn't too big. The tutors are really nice, friendly and always willing to help. The news bulletin project was really fun to produce and it gave us some practical experience. Just make sure you pick reliable group members who are willing to meet up outside of class times to work on the projects.

the lecturer should have been more engaging, she said 'um' too much, and went off-topic often. she was good though. All topics seemed interwoven and repetitive at times, but it was interesting overall.

I really enjoyed this subject. Each topic we covered was interesting and relevant. It was a great chance to look at the news in a different way. The only thing I wasn't sure about was having the majority of tutorials run by students. Just a thought
