An awesome unit that introduces you to the 2 primary areas of sociolinguistics. While I am more partial to the Labovian linguistics presented by Prof. Wilson was great, Prof. Loy Lising gave a very enjoyable and understandable introduction to her area of sociolinguistics. Both lecturers are fantastic educators. The report gave a very real feeling experience of sociolinguistics and while some of the quizzes were challenging they are more than achievable if you stay on top of the content.

Very interesting unit with great lecturers, however, there was nowhere near enough time to complete most of the biweekly quizzes.
