Fairly enjoyable unit all-round. Very traditional teaching style however, don't expect teacher/convenor to tollerate late arrivals or leaving early. I had commitments most weeks and was the case for me, and only once speaking to her at the end of the semester found out she had a big problem with that. Amongst other heated words, she explained that she trusted none of her students. This was shown in the final listening exam, where she took a student's paper from them as they left to go to the bathroom, and refused to allow them to resume once they returned. My advice is to keep the teacher happy and on your good side, and you'll do well.

A lot of homework- expect to be doing 5-6 hours of pure homework each week. Don't stress too much about the exposé, it's not that hard and they mark quite fairly.
