Reviews

This subject was helpful, but the way it was taught and assessed is disgraceful. The content is harshly marked with little guidance of what is expected. No help is given, and if you miss a class, even due to terrible unavoidable circumstances, this is not enough and you may fail the unit

Very intense and stressful unit. It’s a shame that Mq places so much importance on literacy and numeracy that PDHPE/Visual arts etc are crammed into this. Very sad should be spilt into 2 units at least with the amount of content.

Although the unit content was interesting, we had little guidance for the assessments (which were all harshly marked). Most of the unit was practical which made it difficult when linking these experiences to theory.

I enjoyed the content in this unit, it was easy to follow and keep up with. However the major assessment had very little direction and guidance provided, and was marked harshly. The weekly blog posts were also quite harshly marked so be prepared for that too. The drama tutor really lacked the ability to protray a message and teach/control a class successfully - ironic really.

I really enjoyed this unit, however, the major assessment was very tough and in general there was very little direction given for such unique tasks that I hadn't no familiarity with. The unit was a huge challenge. THe art teaching component kind of sucked which was disappointing. Really had to pull out the valuable bits of the workshops.
